dirtgirls

in association with SheCycles & Minx

Details of 2009 trips will be released shortly. If you want to be sent info as soon as it's available email Sara

With four dirtgirls, women only biking holidays, already run from our base in Morzine for 2008 we were busy looking for a fresh new focus. When we managed to persuade Masters World Champion Petra Wiltshire to come along as coach we knew we were onto a winner. Petra, who's sponsored by Trek, has been guiding and coaching in the Portes du Soleil for years now and is probably the only reason Sara made it down the Megavalanche course! The experience of riding with her for just a couple of days pushed Sara further than the rest of the summer in total. If you want some of her magic to rub off on you too get out here this summer!

As in 2008, the 2009 dirtgirls trips will be run with Petra in the Swiss resort of Champery. Part of the Portes du Soleil network, we get the advantage of lifts, but also quieter, less used, trails.

Minx, the website dedicated to cycle clothing for girls with attitude, will be supporting the dirtgirls weeks once again. This year Minx will not only be providing end of week prizes but is offering all 2008 dirtgirls a discount on pre-trip purchases so they can get ready to hit the trails in style!

2008 dirtgirls will also be fuelled with mule bars. Mulebar believe there is no energy like natural ingredients so all bars are made with 100% natural ingredients. We like this!

With a mix of skills sessions and rides, as well as evenings out and other activities they are busy and fun weeks. Check out Sue Williams' article in Singletrack on our blog for a riders perspective. All girls are welcome, except complete beginners. You don't need to be an expert, but experience of mountain biking is necessary to make the most of the trails here.
